Money-saving tips from our Energy Specialists
Our Energy Specialists are savings experts! They can help you conserve energy in your home, which can save you money on your electric bill. Everyone’s needs are different, but our specialists have shared 3 of the most common ways to help you save:

1. Install/program a smart thermostat
Set at 68° or lower when you’re home to stay comfortable and cozy in the winter months. In the summer months, go for 78° or higher to stay cool and energy efficient. Find instant rebates at smudenergystore.com.

2. Weatherize your home
Seal the cracks around your doors and windows where you might be losing air. We can help you with one of our new Weatherization Kits. Or, take advantage of up to $3,000 in rebates to seal and insulate.

3. Heat and cool your home naturally
On sunny days, open the curtains and blinds to let in the warm sun. In the summer, curtains and blinds can act as more insulation for windows.
